United Way of Metropolitan Chicago’s Young Leaders Society (YLS) members will host a networking and beer-tasting event at Rhapsody. With more than 1,500 members, YLS has exciting opportunities to engage young professionals in volunteer and community awareness opportunities on important issues facing metropolitan Chicago. Guests will also have the opportunity to win a new 8GB iPod Nano. Membership is free and open to those interested in making an impact in the areas of HEALTH, INCOME and EDUCATION.
The event will take place Wednesday, October 21 at Rhapsody, 65 E. Adams St. in Chicago, from 6–8 p.m.
Tickets cost $15 in advance or $25 at the door and includes sampling of seasonal beer and hors d’oeuvres. To purchase tickets, please email yls@uw-mc.org or call 312-906-2222. All proceeds will benefit United Way partner agencies.
YLS provides an easy and powerful way for members to get involved, give back to our community and advance the common good alongside other young professionals. YLS members volunteer with other young leaders to stay connected, informed and involved in our community; network and socialize with peers who know the importance of civic engagement; learn about the critical needs in our region directly from community experts and leaders; and give to support programs that deliver measurable, lasting results and strengthen our community.
