The mission of the United Way Young Leaders Society (YLS) is to promote and encourage the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism among the young professionals of Chicagoland. Members of YLS are committed, compassionate and generous individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact throughout our community around our issue areas of income, education and health. They GIVE, they ADVOCATE, they VOLUNTEER and they share a common desire to LIVE UNITED.

Get Involved
There are no special requirements or membership fees to be part of the United Way Young Leaders Society – just sign up for our newsletter and come out to our events. As a general member, you will receive inside information about what’s going on at United Way and how it affects metropolitan Chicago – plus invitations to volunteer, network and get involved in the community.

Committee members take their involvement to the next level by meeting on a monthly basis to plan programs and initiatives under the direction of the Executive Committee.
