United Way of Metropolitan Chicago seeks an experienced professional who will be responsible for assisting the Director of Media and Community Relations with external communications including a comprehensive media relations and community outreach program. The Specialist, Media and Community Relations will be accountable for coordinating and preparing materials and logistics for public relations events including press conferences, rallies, interviews, community forums, etc. This position will also require a strong understanding of the Latino community to build relationships with local Hispanic media and community groups.
Requirements: Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, proficient in Spanish and fully proficient and experienced in the latest version of Microsoft Office Environment (Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Minimum 3 years of experience in related field.

Marketing Manager

United Way of Metropolitan Chicago seeks a highly motivated, creative and experienced professional to expand the visibility and understanding of United Way and engage the Chicagoland community in our work. The marketing manager will oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities and establish creative marketing strategies. The manager will coordinate the trafficking of all ad copy and creative through design and programming production, coordinate the production and setup of the e-letters based on a predetermined schedule; maintain internal and external marketing schedules and facilitate setup and delivery of creative based on a predetermined schedule; track and maintains marketing results and assist in managing the marketing budget.
Requirements: Looking for a professional individual with extremely good communication and organizational skills. Project management and advertising/marketing experience preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience in project management or marketing/sales.

Chief Resource Development Officer

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Chief Resource Development Officer will serve as a leader of ground-breaking community solutions, in a strong, stable and exciting organization at an innovative and impactful time in its history.
S/he will: design approaches for the full mix of resource development, manage the annual campaign, cultivate relationships at the highest levels within the community and strengthen stakeholder and investor engagement with the brand. The candidate must be accomplished in leading major and diverse fundraising initiatives, including annual, capital and endowment campaigns, major gifts, planned giving and grants. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in cultivating high net worth donors and translating sales and product marketing techniques to build resources.
Requirements: Minimum of 10 years experience with a diverse background in sales, marketing and new business development; proven record of organizational management and supervisory experience managing a large team within a multi-location network.
S/he must possess excellent leadership and change management skills in building community and regional collaborative relationships with corporate volunteers, agencies and other stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required; graduate degree a plus. Compensation includes competitive base pay and outstanding benefits.
