Skokie Born Learning Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Set to open on May 9, 2012, Skokie’s Born Learning Trail captures several fun outdoor games on engaging signs to help parents and caregivers create learning opportunities for young children. Located on a short stretch of pathway at Devonshire Park, adjacent to the playground and to the Devonshire Preschool, the trail is a valuable community resource for early learning and fighting childhood obesity.

The Born Learning Trail is an interactive, playful and visible community engagement tool, designed to help parents, caregivers and communities support early learning. The Trail is a community change strategy, helping boost children’s language and literacy skills – and encouraging families to get active. It’s a great way to elevate awareness of early childhood education and connect families more deeply to early learning.

End: May 9, 2012 10:30 am
