New approaches to Latino youth
The United Way Latino Initiative supports Latino youth and families by helping teens and young adults succeed in school and transition successfully into adulthood.
United Way has selected agency partners located in Cicero, Rogers Park, Belmont Cragin, Hermosa, Irving Park, Portage Park and Highwood to engage leaders, residents and community advocates to develop the best programs that help young Latinos thrive and reach their goals. Four agencies, Organization of the North East, Metropolitan Family Services, Cicero Youth Task Force and Family Services, will work with United Way to ensure that young Latinos understand the importance of staying in school, can create a strong identity that bridges both of their cultures and assume healthy family and social roles.
Latino Initiative is engaging leaders, residents, volunteers and advocates to create ways to help young Latinos reach their goals.
