Mount Prospect, IL– On Thursday, April 23rd the Northwest Suburban United Way honored three talented students with the George Gattas Scholarship at the 14th annual Golf Classic held at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove. The students were chosen for the scholarship based on their demonstrated educational excellence, participation in co-curricular activities and their commitment to their community. The young scholars received a total of $6,000 to aid them as they continue on to higher education.

Northwest Suburban United Way is proud to annouce the winners of the 2009 George Gattas Scholarship.
There was a nearly overwhelming response to the scholarship this year. The three winners stood out from the rest for their fantastic examples of dedication to the community, scholarship and athleticism.

Reminder: The first golf outing of the year is just around the corner!
April 29th, 2009! Mark your calendars and save the date for the 13th annual Gattas Golf Classic. Mount Prospect Golf Club will be hosting the event again this year.
Registration includes golf, dinner, and a shirt. Enjoy games and contests on the course throughout the day, and relax in the evening with the banquet dinner and cash bar. The Gattas Scholarship prizes will be presented as part of the banquet program.
